12 Moroccan-Inspired Shag Rugs that I Can’t Get Over

Another day, another rug…or twelve perhaps? I’ve been on a rug rampage lately, sourcing what seems like a GAZILLION options for a few client projects I am working on right now through Laurel and Wolf. It seems that my clients, and myself, are searching for that perfect cozy shag rug that is a step up from just plain shaggy and contains some color and pattern too. A good shag rug is more than just a rug, in my opinion, it doubles as another piece of furniture – because who doesn’t want to lay all over these things?

Originally this post was just going to be more generally focused on my favorite shag rugs but then I realized that all of my favorites have a moroccan-inspired style versus solid colors or geometric patterns.

So, here we are, 12 of my favorite moroccan-inspired shag rugs that have come to me as a result of going into an Internet black hole of rugs. Some of these rugs are statements and some are more neutral but all appear to be insanely plush and comfy. Yes friends, rugs can be unbelievably comfortable while also being beautiful.
